Milan have set sights on Kyle Walker, who wants to leave Manchester City to try an experience abroad. They'd have to pick one between him and Rashford.

Milan are reportedly on the cusp of announcing their first signing under newly-appointed manager Sergio Conceicao. According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City stalwart Kyle Walker is one step away from sealing an agreement with the Serie A powerhouse.

Walker requested to leave the Etihad Stadium after tumbling down the pecking order. After almost eight years of faithful service, the 34-year-old is ready to open a new chapter. Milan are willing to offer him an escape route from Manchester.

However, the Italians are waiting for Man City’s approval before initiating formal contact. Milan would offer the England international a two-and-a-half-year deal at the San Siro only if the perennial Premier League champions agree to let their wantaway star leave on a free transfer.

Milan and Walker’s representatives held further meetings on Friday, with the player’s camp confirming his desire to move to Lombardy. Walker’s potential arrival would effectively rule the Rossoneri out of the transfer race for outgoing Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford.

Indeed, Milan can only sign one British player this winter. Rashford has been a genuine target for the 19-time Serie A champions. However, they’ve recently shifted priorities, identifying Chelsea forward Joao Felix as an alternative option.

Felix swapped Atletico Madrid for Stamford Bridge for a reported fee of £42.7m in August. But he has failed to leave up to the billing. Therefore, Chelsea could be open to letting the Portuguese join Milan on loan with an option to buy.
