Margot Robbie is embracing her postpartum journey, stepping out one month after welcoming her first child with husband, Tom Ackerley.

Multiple outlets recently confirmed that Robbie gave birth to a son in late October, just ahead of her expected due date. She maintained a low-key approach to her pregnancy as news of her impending motherhood first emerged in July, when photos surfaced showing the Australian actress’s baby bump.

Margot Robbie kept her journey largely private, appearing only at select events before giving birth.

Robbie and Ackerley’s relationship has been marked by a strong foundation of friendship. The pair initially met on the set of her 2013 film, "Suite Française," where they connected as friends before their relationship turned romantic.

They took their commitment to the next level in December 2016, marrying in a private ceremony in Australia.

“We were friends for so long,” she told Vogue before they tied the knot. “I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.’ And then it happened, and I was like, ‘Of course, we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.’”

Together, they co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment, a production company responsible for projects such as "Barbie" and "Saltburn."

Robbie, who recently welcomed her first child, is gearing up to star in a new adaptation of Emily Brontë’s "Wuthering Heights." This will be Robbie’s first film role since her pregnancy announcement, where she’s set to portray the iconic character Catherine Earnshaw, opposite Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff.

The project, directed by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell—known for "Promising Young Woman" and "Saltburn"—is scheduled to begin filming in the UK in 2025.

The exciting news comes after Margot portrayed Barbie in the hit film last year.

"[Playing Barbie is] sparking feelings of what life will be like when she has the joy of her own kids running about,” a source claimed to Closer, the Mirror reports. "Playing a much-loved children's icon has brought back memories of her own childhood, but she avoids putting any pressure on herself about it."

Margot Robbie Snubbed At The Oscars

Despite the praise Robbie received for her portrayal of the iconic doll, she was notably absent from the Best Actress nominee list during last year's Oscars. In contrast, her on-screen counterpart, Ryan Gosling—who played Ken—secured a nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Following the announcement, Robbie addressed the snub, with movie fans widely calling it “the year’s biggest Oscar snub."

"This is a weird non-sequitur, but Margot Robbie isn't getting enough credit, in my opinion- because America [Ferrera] has this amazing speech and she nails it," Robert Downey Jr. said of the snub. "But it's the cut away to Robbie so actively listening. It's when I realize, oh, okay, now I see Greta [Gerwig, the film's director]'s really on to something here, but it was Robbie who had to trust [her]."

While speaking at a panel after the nominees were announced, the "Barbie" actress expressed, "There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed," and shared that she is “beyond ecstatic that we’ve got eight Academy Award nominations — it’s so wild."

Similarly, Gerwig was overlooked in the Best Director category, a decision that sparked discussions among critics and fans alike.

"Obviously I think Greta should be nominated as a director because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is. But it’s been an incredible year for all the films," she added, per Deadline.

"Barbie" has done "way more than we ever dreamed it would, and that is truly the biggest reward that could come out of all of this," the actress added.
