That’s my mentality.” The forward was reported to have been ‘sent home from training’ 24 hours after his Manchester derby snub. However, it has been claimed that he didn’t train as he is suffering from a sickness bug. Clubs including Al Ittihad, managed by ex-United defender Laurent Blanc, have been put on alert. Rashford’s start to life under Amorim had been goodGetty Rashford has been directly involved in five goals from his 15 Premier League outings this season Paris Saint-Germain have also held previous interest, while he could potentially find himself at Arsenal or Chelsea. Rashford still has over three years remaining on his current contract. The academy graduate penned a new deal through to 2028 last summer. So far this season, he has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions. Those include three strikes in his six matches since Amorim’s arrival. Since his debut, Rashford has made 428 appearances, scoring 138 goals in the process. He’s also helped the club to two FA Cup wins, along with two EFL Cups, a Community Shield and a Europa League. Henry Winter’s verdict He’s very respectful of the club. He’s been there 19 years and it’s a club that’s very much in his heart. It’s a club that sort of shaped him. You look at the amazing coaching that goes on in the academy. He’s done pretty well for them. He scored one in three, 426 appearances for Manchester United, and a few trophies. Two seasons ago he scored 30 odd goals. I think it’s one of those things that it’s sad to say, but it seems like an inevitable parting of the ways. I think both sides should wish each other well for the future. Manchester United under this outstanding coach they’ve got in Ruben Amorim and Marcus Rashford, whether he goes to Italy or to Spain, whether initially on loan or they get a fee for him, and you would expect them to get a decent fee for him because he’s a very good player. He’s highly respected abroad, England international, 60 caps, and he clearly wants to add to those.
