As reported by WAZ, Manuel Riemann is set to return to VfL Bochum team training with legal proceedings between player and club to be over.
The former number one was suspended after Bochum survived the relegation play-off at the end of last season. It was reported that Riemann was involved in incidents which occurred in the changing rooms following the game.
Following the incident, the club suspended the 36-year-old which led to legal proceedings between VfL and Riemann.
A New Leaf
With Bochum under new leadership in head coach Dieter Hecking and CEO Ilja Kaenzig, they are in favour of bringing Riemann back.
As a result, legal proceedings have been suspended with both parties agreeing to an out-of-court settlement.
Riemann is expected to report for first team training on Monday morning and will train initially with goalkeepers Patrick Drewes and Timo Horns.
Riemann was key to Bochum’s survival last season having made many key saves in tight games.
Bochum play VfB Stuttgart this weekend as they search for their first win of the campaign.
