Here’s your one-stop guide to everything that went down on transfer deadline day in La Liga, with spending kept at a minimum this winter window.
Alaves
A bit before the deadline, but Alaves did bring in young and exciting winger Pau Cabanes from Villarreal on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has been on the fringes of Marcelino Garcia Toral’s plans, and recently extended his contract.
Athletic Club
Perhaps the most surprising move late in the window, on Saturday Athletic spent €3m on Alaves forward Maroan Sannadi. The 24-year-old was on loan at Barakaldo in the third tier, and had 11 goals in 20 league games this season, enough for Los Leones to gamble on his talent.
Another forward, Javi Marton, who was signed from Real Sociedad this past summer, went on loan to Albacete.
Barcelona
It was a quiet day in the end for Barcelona, as Ansu Fati turned down a move to Saudi Arabia, and the Blaugrana knocked back interest in Pablo Torre from Porto.
Celta Vigo
A rumoured exit for much of the last two months, it was left late, but Como turned out to be the side that put sufficient money on the table for Anastasios Douvikas. The Greek forward leaves a €1m profit following a €13m move to Serie A. He had been short of opportunities, after 18 goals and 4 assists in his 58 Celta outings over the past 18 months.
Getafe
Getafe also moved late to bring in Juanmi on loan from Real Betis, with the former Southampton forward involved in their draw with Sevilla at the weekend. Carles Alena moved on loan to Alaves until the end of the season, and Villarreal’s Ramon Terrats arrived on loan to replace him. It was a busy day for Los Azulones, who did not get the 6 signings that Jose Bordalas demanded, but did make it three on deadline day, with experienced left-back Juan Bernat leaving Villarreal to sign a deal until the end of the season.
Girona
A deal that looked to be going through much earlier, Girona ended Pau Lopez’s loan from Olympique Marseille. He has since joined Toluca on loan. They also had Arthur Melo’s loan move from Juventus confirmed.
Las Palmas
Although not confirmed until Monday, Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic was destined for Las Palmas for several days. He featured in their 2-1 defeat to Girona on Monday night, after joining on loan until the end of the season.
Going the other way was Daley Sinkgraven, who left on a free for Fortuna Sittard. Winger Pejino also went on loan to Elche.
Leganes
The most last-minue operators of all, Leganes brought in an entire new left flank with time expiring in the transfer window. Former Rangers left-back Borna Barisic arrived on loan from Trabzonspor until the end of the season. Duk, 24 years of age from Cape Verde, has signed 2.5-year deal at Butarque. He arrives on an undisclosed deal from Aberdeen, with Borja Jimenez hoping for some pace.

Real Betis
Manuel Pellegrini already had more of a supply line arriving in Antony from Manchester United, and he could be supplying Cucho Hernandez. The 25-year-old Colombian forward has arrived from Columbus Crew for a repòrted €13m fee. Last season he had 19 goals and 11 assists in 29 appearances, and Betis will be hoping he adds the clinical edge that Vitor Roque and Cedric Bakambu have lacked.
