Knicks Sign Landry Shamet, Waive Matt Ryan
The New York Knicks have signed Landry Shamet while also waiving Matt Ryan. Shamet had been considered a lock to make the Knicks' regular season roster out of training camp, but he suffered a dislocated shoulder in the preseason. Shamet is now fully recovered after playing for the Westchester Knicks of the G League. Tom Thibodeau valued Shamet's experience, particularly with his prior time playing with Mikal Bridges and Cameron Payne.
