Klay Thompson Made Surprising Claim About Reggie Miller

Earlier this week, Klay Thompson passed Reggie Miller on the NBA’s all-time three-pointers list, moving into fifth place.

Following that amazing achievement, Thompson showed his love for Miller on social media, but his Instagram post raised a few eyebrows.

According to NBACentral, Thompson called Miller “the greatest to ever shoot it.”

While Miller was certainly one of the best shooters of all time, some people are shocked to see Thompson say this because he played alongside Steph Curry for so many years.

Thompson might now be fifth on this list, but he is still far behind his old teammate and friend, Curry.

And because of Curry’s place in history, the vast majority of people consider him the best shooter to ever play in the league.

But according to Thompson’s post, that honor goes to Miller.

Is this post revealing some sort of secret beef between Thompson and Curry, or was it just the slip of the tongue?

Or perhaps Thompson really believes Miller is the best shooter ever, although he still deeply cares for Curry.

There is a lot of speculation and rumors floating around Thompson’s latest statement.

Now in his first season away from Curry, Thompson is averaging 14.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, shooting 42.2 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from the three-point line.

His numbers might not match what he used to produce with the Golden State Warriors, but Thompson appears more at home and more comfortable playing in Dallas and is happy alongside his new teammates.

One wonders if he would have made this statement about Miller if he was still playing for the Warriors with Curry.
