Kings, Nets Have Had Extensive Trade Talks On Cam Johnson
The Sacramento Kings have had extensive talks with the Brooklyn Nets on a trade for Cam Johnson. Johnson is in Year 2 of a four-year, $94.5 million contract signed in the 2023 offseason. In 31 games this season, Johnson is averaging 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 32.4 minutes. Johnson is also shooting 43.2 percent on three-pointers and is a career 39.7 percent shooter from distance. Johnson turns 29 in March. The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies have also been strongly linked with a trade for Johnson, who is believed to be on the block as the Nets rebuild. Brooklyn is said to be seeking multiple first round picks for Johnson.
