Sandro Tonali’s future at Newcastle United is uncertain as the January transfer window approaches. Reports suggest 2025 could be the year the midfielder parts ways with the Magpies.
According to GIVE ME SPORT, sources indicate that Tonali is seriously considering a move away from Tyneside. While an exit this summer appears more likely than a midseason departure, speculation continues to grow.
Newcastle signed Tonali from AC Milan in 2023, securing the Italian on a five-year deal until 2028. The club reportedly paid €70 million plus add-ons to bring him to St. James’ Park.
La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported that PSG might once again be interested in Tonali, a player who no longer seems to be thriving at Newcastle. However, the Ligue 1 side could be receiving a transfer blow.
Another confirmation that Sandro Tonali could return to Italy
Corriere dello Sport (h/t Diario AS) reports that Juventus are looking to bring the midfielder back to Italy. Sky Sports Switzerland have reported that the Italian midfielder is eager to leave, with Juventus emerging as a strong competitor for PSG in the transfer race.
Thiago Motta wants to make Tonali the centerpiece of their midfield, and the Serie A side have already contacted the player’s representatives.
