There were several key matchups this year, including a back-and-forth game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.

This game went down to the wire, but the Lakers ended up on top.

While fans were talking about the Lakers’ impressive win, it was nothing compared to the buzz Jonathan Kuminga was receiving.

As shared on X by NBA Central, Kuminga had a posterizing dunk over two Lakers players, getting his teammates and many fans on their feet.

Posterizing dunks of this magnitude don’t happen often, and considering the holiday, Kuminga’s impressive play received a lot of traction on social media.

He has been a fantastic piece for the Warriors over the past few seasons, especially as they are trying to find a new identity without Klay Thompson.

Steph Curry isn’t going to be around forever, so they’ll need players like Kuminga to keep stepping up and doing their part for the organization.

The Warriors will need to build around someone for the next decade, or more, and Kuminga could be that player for them, should he stick around for the foreseeable future.

He has answered the call thus far, but it will be interesting to see what he can do as a No.1 option once Curry retires.
