Jimmy Butler Appears To Take A Jab At Pat Riley

When it was announced that Jimmy Butler was seeking a trade from the Miami Heat, some people wondered just how bitter and nasty things could get.

So far, everything has remained cordial between Butler and the Heat, but will that change as the trade deadline rapidly approaches?

A video shared by Courtside Buzz on X suggested that Butler made a swipe at Heat president Pat Riley when speaking to an employee at his coffee shop.

“See, I gave you a compliment. That’s what bosses do, they build you up, they don’t break you down,” Butler said.

The fact that Butler looked directly at the camera while he said this and then posted it on social media hints at him making a dig at Riley.
