One of the Boston Celtics’ most important players is back.
After months of being off the court because of a foot injury and surgery, Shams Charania, via NBA on TNT, is reporting that Kristaps Porzingis plans to make his season debut against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.
The Celtics have been doing very well, even without Porzingis, but they are excited to have him back in the lineup.

Last season, Porzingis averaged 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds on his way to his first championship.
Unfortunately, last season was also filled with a few injuries, and that meant he only played in 57 games.
After missing the first few weeks of 2024-25, Porzingis is back and ready to play—but will he be at 100%?
Recovering from an injury takes a lot of time, and there is often a period of adjustment, even for the most talented and driven players.
There are also questions about the chemistry the Celtics have right now.
As great as Porzingis is, will his re-entry into the team mess with the good thing they have going?
Of course, if he is close to 100% and easily slides into the rotation, the Celtics could see benefits from Porzingis right away.
When he’s healthy, he is one of the smartest and most helpful big men in the league.
The Celtics have a 14-3 record right now, behind the Cleveland Cavaliers as the second team in the Eastern Conference.
Overtaking the Cavaliers might be out of reach but the Celtics will stay in contention, especially with Porzingis back.
