I interviewed Mike Tyson and now I fear for Jake Paul – he’s not cut from this world

Adam Catterall recently sat down to interview Mike Tyson for talkSPORT and now he’s convinced Jake Paul is in trouble. Paul and Tyson are set to square off in a professional heavyweight bout on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tyson and Paul will lock horns in a boxing match in November at the AT&T stadiumGETTY Tyson recently celebrated his 58th birthday and hasn’t fought in the paid ranks since retiring on his stool against Kevin McBride in 2005. Paul, on the other hand, is in his physical prime at 27 and has been actively competing in the sport for the last five years. Given the disparity in age and activity, most punters are backing Paul to get his hand raised while several members of the boxing fraternity have expressed concerns for Tyson’s health. However, Catterall fears for Paul more than he does a 58-year-old ‘Iron Mike’ after seeing the intensity in his eyes during their 8-minute chat for the talkSPORT Boxing YouTube channel. “Jake Paul‘s not from this world,” Catterall told the Sports Bar Weekender on Friday night. “Jake Paul is quite evidently, trying to make a name for himself in the boxing world off the back of the legend’s name in Mike Tyson. “We know what level Jake Paul’s at as a boxer. I saw him in with Tommy Fury. “With all due respect to Tommy Fury, I don’t think Tommy Fury is going to win a British title, right? “And that’s not me putting down the British title. What I’m trying to do is compare what Mike Tyson was to the kid he’s stepping in with. Mike Tyson’s an icon… “I don’t care how old Mike Tyson is, he’s not a normal 58-year-old so don’t judge him like normal fellas. talkSPORTCatterall interviewed Tyson for talkSPORT and fears for Paul[/caption] “We’re talking about a kid that used to present on the Disney Channel, that stepped into the world of boxing… “I fear for Jake Paul. People are coming at me going ‘What are you talking about? “‘Mike Tyson is nearly 60. It’s ridiculous, he should never be in the ring’. “I agree with all those arguments but if you’re actually just looking at the contest I fear for Jake Paul because he’s not cut from this world. “If he oversteps the mark and he puts it on Mike a bit that is switch is going to go. “And when the switch goes all he needs to do is throw one combination. It could be carnage mate… “If Jake Paul doesn’t know what he is doing, he is going to find out.”
