At the beginning of his lecture, Giuntoli emphasized the importance of passion in this profession. “To do this job, we must be driven by great passion. The session opened with a light-hearted moment when Riccardo Motta, currently responsible for scouting at Carpi and an attendee of the course, presented Giuntoli with a Carpi scarf as a gesture of respect and camaraderie.
Giuntoli’s lecture was part of an intensive day at the course for aspiring sporting directors, which featured notable speakers such as Rafa Benitez, Riccardo Bigon, and Stefano Braghin, the current Women’s Football Director at Juventus. The previous day included contributions from Frederic Massara, the sporting director of Rennes, Roberto D’Aversa, head coach of Empoli, Gianluca Rocchi, head of referees, and Alberto Marangon, team manager of AC Milan.
