Before Mike Brown arrived in town, the Sacramento Kings had a league-worst playoff drought.
The team wasn’t competitive at all for most of that stretch.
Brown eventually led them to the playoffs and a myriad of late-season injuries prevented him from doing so again last season.
Now, he’s out of a job.
The Kings are 13-18 and they decided to pull the plug on Brown.
According to NBA insider Vincent Goodwill, they did so because they didn’t like the direction the team was heading in.
“The Kings fired Brown because they didn’t like the direction of the team over the last couple months,” Goodwill said.
