Controversial new reason why Ruben Amorim dropped Marcus Rashford emerges

Ruben Amorim’s reasoning behind dropping Marcus Rashford has been exposed and some Manchester United fans won’t be happy.  Rashford’s past few months at Old Trafford have been nothing short of turbulent.  The last thing Rashford needs is more controversyGetty Since the arrival of new manager Amorim, the 27-year-old has been firmly on the fringes.  He was left out of four games entirely but returned to the Portuguese manager’s squad in the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle – although was left on the bench for the entire match. Now, Amorim’s decision to leave out Rashford has been fully explained. In December, United beat Everton 4-0 at the Theatre of Dreams. It was a great display from Rashford, who scored two goals. According to The Athletic, Amorim was told after that match that two days earlier, 48 hours before the game, Rashford had spent a Friday night out in Manchester. The United head coach was not impressed and does not want his players out in bars so close to games.  When Amorim questioned Rashford about the supposed night out, he told the manager he had been misinformed. However, three days later Rashford was left out of the starting line-up for United’s trip to Arsenal.  His absence could have simply been down to squad rotation, but it does raise questions if Rashford’s social life was the reason for Amorim’s decision, especially in light of the continued absence.
