Charles Barkley Sounds Off On NBA Superteams, Says ‘You’re Cheating’

The 2024-25 NBA season is in full swing and several teams have already begun to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack when it comes to the championship race.

The Boston Celtics are the clear-cut favorites as they’ve steamrolled teams despite not being fully healthy.

However, teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers have risen to the top of their respective conferences and appear poised to make deep playoff runs.

In the modern NBA, it’s almost impossible to win a title without having at least two superstar players.

The league as a whole is as talented and deep as it’s ever been, so having star players is the surest way to compete for a championship.

However, NBA legend Charles Barkley isn’t a believer in superteams and recently called it a cheap way to win.

“I hate superteams because you’re cheating,” Barkley said, via Thetruth.
