Burger King has a whopping Whopper deal.
The fast food joint is handing out one million Whoppers for $1 each starting on Nov. 12. The discount burgers are the brand’s way of saying “thanks a million” to fans who submitted their dream burger ideas in the Million Dollar Whopper Contest, according to a press release.
The contest was introduced in early 2024 and prompted customers to devise their ideal Whopper for the chance for it to be sold in locations nationwide and win a $1 million prize. Per a release, more than one million people participated in the contest and BK has narrowed it down to three finalists.
The $1 Whopper promo is available to all reward members starting on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The sandwich deal can be added to orders by clicking through the “offers” tab on the BK app.
Starting on Thursday, Nov. 14, the three fan-created Whoppers will be available nationwide for customers to taste and vote on.
The Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper stacks pickle ranch, fried pickles, bacon, Swiss cheese and lettuce on a beef patty. The dill-forward option is sandwiched between a sesame seed bun.
The Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper takes inspiration from Southwestern flavors by topping a beef patty with maple bourbon barbecue sauce, crispy onions, jalapeños, maple candied-bacon and American cheese in between a sesame seed bun.

The Mexican Street Corn Whopper has the same seeded bun and beef patty as the other finalists and a unique flavor profile with a spicy queso, creamy sweet corn spread, lettuce tomato and tortilla crisps.
After getting a taste of the finalists, Burger King is asking customers to scan the QR code on the burgers’ wrapper. This should lead them to a website or the BK app to vote on which burger is worthy of a $1 million grand prize.
McDonald’s also recently rolled out a twist on a classic menu item.
Stores nationwide starting selling the Chicken Big Mac in early October. The poultry-twist on the fast food staple has previously only been available at international locations (other than a limited run in Miami two years ago).
The Chicken Big Mac takes the components of a Big Mac but swaps chicken patties for the beef patties. The new iteration has two breaded chicken patties, Big Mac sauce, cheese, lettuce and pickles sandwiched between a sesame seed bun.
