The Phoenix Suns’ decision to trade for Bradley Beal was always frowned upon.
They didn’t need another scorer, and losing their point guard to get him was a bad move, roster-wise.
That’s not even counting his history of injuries, massive contract, and a no-trade clause.
Now, the team is struggling, and Beal, who has failed to perform at his contract level, has been demoted to the second unit.
Fortunately for the Suns, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.
According to a report by John Gambadoro (via Evan Sidery), Beal would be willing to waive his no-trade clause in a deal to facilitate the Suns to get Jimmy Butler.
However, he would only do so if he were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, or Denver Nuggets.

Given what they would have to give up, it’s hard to envision Beal as an upgrade to those teams.
His big contract makes him tough to trade for.
The Clippers could use the scoring, but they would most likely have to give up all of their depth.
The Heat weren’t interested in him two years ago, so they might not have changed their minds.
The Lakers have a more productive, younger, and cheaper player in Austin Reaves.
On the other hand, the Nuggets could use more scoring, but Beal’s injury woes won’t alleviate their problems, and at this point in his career, he wouldn’t be an upgrade over Jamal Murray or Michael Porter Jr.
