A team of Borussia Dortmund legends will be taking on a team of Flamengo legends on 20th November 2024 in Brasilia, as part of King Pelé Day celebrations.
King Pelé Day is a national celebration of one of the greatest Brazilian players of all time, who won three World Cups with Brazil in 1958, 1962 and 1970.
The match will take place at the Estádio Nacional de Brasília Mané Garrincha in front of 50,000 fans and is also being held as part of the celebrations for 200 years of German immigration to Brazil.
Fritz Lünschermann will be the manager for the Dortmund legends and will be joined by Jörg Heinrich as a coach and Teddy De Beer who will be the goalkeeping coach.
The Dortmund side will be made up of World champions, DFB Cup champions and Bundesliga champions such as Kevin Großkreutz, Jan Koller and goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller.
