Bobby Portis on Doc Rivers: He gets a lot of slander, but he's been great for our team
Bobby Portis: Obviously, I think Doc gets a lot of slander, but for me personally and for our team, he’s been great. He’s been building us, drilling things every day. Early in the season, we didn’t really have a lot of camaraderie and chemistry—obviously, we added new pieces. We hadn’t played with Giannis in a while. He got hurt against the Celtics late last season, sat out the playoffs, and now we’re trying to get re-familiarized with the team.Source: YouTube What’s the buzz on Twitter? Eric Nehm @eric_nehm After a flat start in Brooklyn, Doc Rivers told his team they only had one option the rest of the way: “Get it out the mud.” With Giannis Antetokounmpo using that mantra and Bobby Portis making big plays, the Bucks pulled out a win. Giannis made a great pass to Bobby for a 3. Dame had the 3, but they were closing out and he swung it to Khris. That’s called trust. BOBBY PORTIS: Um, I think this is the best he’s been since I’ve been on the team. This is my fifth season now playing with him. I’ve played, I’d say, over a thousand games—or at least I’ve been in Milwaukee over a thousand days now. So, it’s kind of crazy to see his game evolve. When I first got here, he wasn’t shooting as many jumpers, mid-ranges, and things like that. But when you work on your game, when you put the time and effort into your craft, you start to see the development of your skill set. I think it’s been kind of cool to see him develop into this mid-range assassin type of player. And we all always knew he could get to the basket at will and do those things, but it’s been amazing to see his game go to another level. -via YouTube / Dece
