Wolves made simple work of Championship play-off hopefuls Blackburn Rovers as two goals in two minutes propelled Vitor Pereira’s side into the FA Cup fifth round.
Blackburn were the masters of their own downfall for Wolves’ opener on 33 minutes, losing possession in a dangerous area to allow Joao Gomes to break into space.
Gomes’ toed effort was straight down the throat of goalkeeper Balasz Toth, but the Hungarian was unable provide an effective stop, gifting Wolves the lead.
The visitors then doubled their advantage less than a minute late, with Matheus Cunha firing into the far corner to give Wolves breathing space.
