Bill Simmons Questions 5 NBA Team’s Intentions At Trade Deadline

The NBA trade deadline is an annual event that can get wild and chaotic and change many teams, hopefully for the better.

There are always a few squads who make questionable choices, or none at all.

On Thursday morning, Bill Simmons released a list he called “The ‘Don’t Understand What You’re Up To’ Trade Deadline Power Rankings.”

He put the Detroit Pistons at the bottom of this unique list, followed by the New Orleans Pelicans.

After them, it’s the Chicago Bulls in third place, then the Phoenix Suns, and finally the Philadelphia 76ers at the top.

Simmons isn’t sure what these teams are planning, and he isn’t alone.

Phoenix has been at the center of a ton of speculation over the last few weeks, especially with Jimmy Butler trying to find an exit from the Miami Heat.

He eventually got his way out, but it was the Golden State Warriors, not the Suns.

They have made some adjustments, but the second half of the season will feature a roster that looks very much like the one fans have been rooting for.

There was talk of Kevin Durant possibly leaving the team, but nothing came of that.

As for the 76ers, it seems that they are playing a wait-and-see game for the rest of 2024-25.

On one hand, that’s understandable because they still have some of the best players in the league.

On the other hand, fans are increasingly frustrated with their place in the standings.

All of these teams were relatively cautious, although some moves were made.

But were they big enough moves to shake things up, or will the struggles continue, and will people like Simmons keep shaking their heads?
