Ben Jacobs Clarifies Chelsea’s Stance on Pursuing PSG Club Chief Amid Rumors

Paris Saint-Germain are shifting their strategy, moving away from signing big-name stars under sporting advisor Luis Campos. However, increasing interest from other clubs could threaten PSG’s grip on Campos.

During his three years in Paris, Campos has played a key role in bringing in rising talents like Vitinha, Bradley Barcola, and João Neves. Before PSG, he had a successful stint with AS Monaco and LOSC Lille.

Despite his success, Campos has yet to sign an extension with PSG, sparking speculation that other clubs might try to recruit him. Recently, his name was linked to Arsenal as a possible replacement for Edu, and now another Premier League club has entered the conversation.

Are Chelsea interest in Luis Campos?

Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that rumors linking Campos with Chelsea are off the mark. The club are not looking to hire a ‘CEO of Football’ or bring Campos in at any level. Chelsea value their current recruitment team, led by the sporting directors, who are continuing to collaborate closely with Enzo Maresca.

Meanwhile, PSG are still working on extending Campos’ contract. While he’s currently a freelancer, the terms of his deal—both now and if renewed—prevent him from working with any Premier League club while contracted to the French champions.

If PSG want to continue this excellent start to their rebuild and post-superstar era, they’ll be advised to lock up Campos to a new contract that keeps him in the French capital for the foreseeable future.
