Rúben Amorim’s decision to leave Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the squad for the recent Manchester derby has sparked speculation about Rashford’s future at the club.

Ben Jacobs of GIVE ME SPORT recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t made any recent moves for Rashford, though their sports advisor, Luis Campos, is closely monitoring the situation.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has previously spoken with Rashford’s representatives, but he’s unlikely to pursue further talks unless the player shows genuine interest. This cautious approach comes after Rashford signed a five-year contract extension with Manchester United in July 2023.

Jacobs also noted that Rashford is open to a potential move to LaLiga, with Barcelona reportedly seeing him as a good fit. However, financial constraints make such a transfer unlikely unless Manchester United agrees to a loan deal and covers a significant portion of his wages.

Football Insider reported on Wednesday, citing sources, that Barcelona are showing interest in landing Rashford. Manchester United loaned Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund last January, and now they’re considering a similar move for Rashford.

The report also claims that a permanent departure for the 27-year-old in the January window is “highly unlikely.” If Rashford does decide to leave Old Trafford permanently, Saudi Pro League clubs may be his only option—but Rashford remains uncertain about that possibility.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are eager to bring the versatile forward to Catalonia to help restore his form and boost his transfer value.

FootballTransfers reported this past weekend that Barcelona have reached out to Manchester United about a potential January loan move for Rashford. The Spanish giants offered a fee of £35 million (€42 million), but Manchester United has yet to respond.
