Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT that Aston Villa believes they can negotiate a summer deal for less than the player’s release clause.

“I think suitors that are looking at Cunha – whether it’s Arsenal or Aston Villa or others – they will feel that regardless of Wolves going down or staying up, there’s a deal there to be had in the summer,” Jacobs said.

“And that may not necessarily be specifically by triggering the release clause. They may be able to work around its ballpark to get a slightly more preferable deal.”

Recently, Diario AS reported that Manchester United are interested in Cunha, with a summer move potentially on the horizon. The Spanish outlet noted that his £62.5 million release clause is seen as a bargain given his quality and attacking contributions.
