The Los Angeles Lakers don’t have all the pieces they need on their roster.
It’s not just fans saying that; some players feel the same way.
Speaking with Shams Charania, via Legion Hoops, Anthony Davis revealed that he thinks the Lakers need another big man, someone who can play the center position while he is a power forward.
Davis pointed out that was how the Lakers played when they won their last championship.
During that 2020 playoff run, Davis was the power forward while Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee performed as centers.

If Davis is being this vocal about his wishes for the team, the front office should definitely listen.
It’s one thing for the fans to plead with general manager Rob Pelinka to make a move that brings the Lakers frontcourt support.
But it’s a totally different thing when the players are asking for it.
Pelinka could be very busy over the next few weeks.
Even if he doesn’t trade for a center, he might bring in other players who could help the Lakers become more competitive in the West.
The trade market is tricky this season and there aren’t a lot of players out there who could move the needle for the Lakers.
Still, some fans are tired of saying the team needs a big man and not being heard.
Now Davis has officially joined the chorus of people who want another center in Los Angeles.
His voice is the loudest, but will it have any impact on the Lakers’ front office?
