Andy Robertson reveals what Liverpool players really think of Jamie Carragher
Liverpool star Andy Robertson lifted the lid on his teammates’ thoughts on Jamie Carragher after the club great aired his verdict on Mohamed Salah’s contract controversy. Salah scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Southampton on Sunday, including the all-important winner, but it was what he had to say post-match that garnered attention. Although Carragher may have been all smiles during Robertson’s interview, he was in no mood to joke when discussing Salah’s comments on Monday. “Of course there’s been discussions,” Carragher said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football. Carragher made his feelings clear on Salah’s comments over his contract “Now, the most important thing for Liverpool Football Club this season is not the future of Mo Salah, it’s not the future of Virgil van Dijk and it’s not the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold. “The most important thing is Liverpool winning the Premier League, that is more important than any of those players. “And if he continues to put comments out or his agent keeps putting cryptic tweets out, that’s selfish, that’s thinking about themselves and not the football club.”
