Some fans and analysts feel that something needs to change in the NBA.
Many think the All-Star Game requires adjusting, while others claim the season has to be shortened.
And some feel the league should put more of an emphasis on dunking.
A video shared by Savage on X shows Nick Wright and Colin Cowherd speaking about a potentially massive alteration to the league.
Wright proposes that the NBA should make dunking worth three points.
He feels the league has become too generic with so much three-point shooting and feels fans want to see more physical feats like rim-rattling dunks.
Making dunks worth three points would create a more entertaining and attractive sport, Wright claims.
It would actually be awesome if the NBA made dunking worth 3 points.

There is no doubt that dunking is a very impressive and riveting part of basketball.
But it also seems that it’s become less popular over the last generation of NBA stars.
Instead, three-point shooting has gained popularity, and it now seems that everyone, including big men, is trying to perfect their shot from beyond the arc.
Wright admits this makes sense from a strategic viewpoint, but it can come across as boring to fans, who want to see thrilling action.
Adjusting the value of a dunk would certainly put more weight on that kind of shot, but it’s unlikely the league will change its position on this.
Even though dunks will probably remain two points, the NBA could find other ways to enhance the sport and invigorate fans and ratings.
Wright’s idea comes from a good place, and it makes sense in a lot of ways but dunks probably won’t be changing any time soon.
