Analyst Names 3 NBA Players That Deserve No-Trade Clauses

The Phoenix Suns are currently contemplating their future with Bradley Beal.

There have been rumors of the team trading Beal, but that is easier said than done.

Because of a no-trade clause written into Beal’s contract, he has the final say in any potential deal that moves him around the league.

Speaking on “Run It Back,” Chandler Parsons talked about no-trade clauses and stated which players should receive them.

He said that Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs is deserving of one, as are Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets.

On the surface, a no-trade clause might sound like a bad move to fans, and that is why players should try to get them.

Beal’s no-trade clause gives him a lot of leverage when it comes to any plans about him.

The Suns may want to move him, but they have no power until Beal gives them the thumbs-up.

Therefore, they are in a tough spot right now because Beal’s opinion is more important than theirs.

There was a time when Beal was trending upwards and looked like he could be one of the best guards in the league.

But times have changed, and the 31-year-old star isn’t the impactful player that he used to be.

However, because of his talented agents and management, Beal’s no-trade clause remains.

Wembanyama, Doncic, and Jokic are three of the biggest names in the NBA right now, so they would probably receive a no-trade clause if they asked for it.

It’s a sign of ultimate power, and Parsons feels they deserve it.
