Aaron Rodgers '100 percent' certain Jets mole is still leaking team secrets amid nightmare season

Aaron Rodgers is certain that the Jets organization still has a problem with leaks, he told reporters on Wednesday.

The quarterback has complained on several occasions of leaks emanating from the locker room, including when The Athletic reported Zach Wilson was ‘reluctant’ to return to the field last season after being benched for Tim Boyle (the report cited anonymous sources).

The same publication reported a stunning revelation earlier this month when they said Jets owner Woody Johnson proposed benching Rodgers after the team’s Week 4 loss to the Broncos.

And when Rodgers was asked on Wednesday whether the franchise still had a problem with in-house discussions being leaked, he had an emphatic response.

‘100 percent yes,’ he said.

He added, ‘It starts with figuring out what they are and putting a stop to it.’

Rodgers, who ruptured his Achilles in Week 1 of the 2023 season, was particularly angered last year by the leak regarding Wilson’s apparent ‘reluctance’ to resume playing for the struggling team.

The future Hall of Famer called the leak ‘chickens***’ and said the organization needed to ‘get to the bottom’ of where the leak was coming from.

‘I will say this, when you have sources, right, and that’s always an interesting thing,’ he said on the Pat McAfee Show. ‘First of all, you can go down a whole rabbit hole with actual sources, made up sources, why is someone willing to be a source?

‘What are they gaining out of that? On and on and on, but when you use sources, and whether intentional or unintentional, try to assassinate someone’s character, like that report does for Zach, I have a real hard time with that.

‘I mean, you’re basically saying that this kid is quitting on the team and doesn’t want to play and has given the middle finger to the organization.’

Rodgers was also bothered when news of him giving the team a pep talk last season before they faced the Chiefs (while he was injured) was leaked.

Furthermore, he claimed to McAfee this season that an offseason report critical of the Jets’ front office – again from The Athletic – likely originated with holdout Haason Reddick’s agent.

‘[I] didn’t read the article but just reading the headline, it sounds like it was written by Haason Reddick’s agent,’ Rodgers told McAfee.

Jets owner made ‘absurd’ Aaron Rodgers suggestion that left coaches stunned

That August report published by was titled ‘NFL agents dish on best (and worst) franchise’ and included comments about a number of teams submitted by anonymous representatives.

In this case, the agent claimed there was ‘complete disarray’ at the Jets facility in Florham Park, New Jersey.

Whether or not that’s true, it’s highly possible that Rodgers won’t be there next season after the firings of coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas.

The Jets are just 3-8 and all but eliminated from playoff contention with six games left to play.

And an inside source told ESPN’s Rich Cimini that it’s highly unlikely that Johnson will bring back Rodgers in 2025.

The Jets will host the Seahawks this weekend as they look to finish the season strong.
