5 Teams Are Reportedly Pursuing De’Aaron Fox

The Sacramento Kings are going through a bit of a crisis right now.

The decision to fire coach Mike Brown might not be the only drastic change they will make this offseason.

There have been rumblings about De’Aaron Fox for quite a while now, and multiple teams are keeping tabs on him.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic (via Evan Sidery), the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs are all keeping tabs on him.

Fox is a very talented offensive player.

While he’s not much of a defender or a shooter, he can get timely buckets and get everybody involved.

The Heat have been in the mix for a point guard for years now, and with all the rumblings about Jimmy Butler’s future, perhaps he could be a prime trade chip for him.

On the other hand, the Magic continue to be very competitive despite the recent string of major injuries they’ve gone through, and adding a primary ball-handler to that mix would do wonders for their offense.

The Lakers will always be tied to any big-name player, and with them reportedly looking to bolster their roster and D’Angelo Russell’s departure, the fit is obvious.

The Rockets could opt to get younger by moving on from Fred VanVleet, who looks closer to his ceiling at this point in his career.

Last but not least, the prospect of pairing Fox with Victor Wembanyama for years to come is enticing, to say the least.
