The Washington Wizards have the NBA’s worst record right now at 3-19, and it may be time for them to sell off one or more of their key players and start fresh.

A few of their key players could have some real value on the open market that could help them fully rebuild and possibly build a winning team in the years to come.

In particular, center Jonas Valanciunas, forward Kyle Kuzma and guard Malcolm Brogdon are expected to be available to other teams on the trade market, per NBACentral.

The Wizards signed Valanciunas to a three-year, $30 million contract over the summer, and the 32-year-old veteran is a strong rebounder who can also score and occasionally block shots.

He’s averaging 12.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocked shots in 20.3 minutes a game while shooting 56.6 percent from the field this season.

Kuzma, who is putting up 15.8 points a game, isn’t a very efficient scorer, but he could be a nice piece for a team that is looking to get to the next level.

Meanwhile, Brogdon is a veteran guard who can supply some scoring, playmaking and defense.

Washington made the playoffs just once in the previous six seasons and has had a long history of mediocrity.

The team hasn’t reached the 50-win mark since all the way back in the 1978-79 season, when it reached the NBA Finals a year after winning its lone world championship.

Its one successful season in the modern era came in the 2016-17 campaign when it finished 49-33 and came within one win of getting to the Eastern Conference Finals.
