The Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets met on Friday night for what was supposed to be an intense, offensively powerful game.
Instead, it featured a ton of missed shots.
As noted by Nate Duncan on X, via NBACentral, the Hornets and Bulls combined for 75 missed three-pointers during Friday’s game, which is the most ever in regulation NBA history.
The Bulls walked away with the win, but they definitely didn’t perform well from beyond the arc.

The Hornets landed just eight of 46 three-point attempts, while the Bulls sank 14 of their 51 shots from downtown.
Those are very bad numbers, and it’s shocking to see two teams struggle so much while playing against one another.
Brandon Miller tried the most three-pointers for the Hornets, going three of 15.
He was also the only Charlotte player to score more than one three-pointer.
Things were a little more balanced for the Bulls, with both Ayo Dosunmu and Josh Giddey scoring the most three-pointers, with three each.
Coby White had two and several other players had just one.
Even with all these three-point attempts, this was a fairly low-scoring game for the Bulls and Hornets.
It was not a great night for either team.
The Bulls are trying to stay in playoff contention and currently sit in ninth place in the East with an 11-15 record.
The Hornets are in a worse position, positioned as the 13th seed with 7-18.
Both teams have a lot to work out in the months ahead, and both could be very busy before the upcoming NBA trade deadline.
Perhaps the front offices of Chicago and Charlotte will look for three-point sharpshooters.
