Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen in WWE since his defeat to Cody Rhodes two years ago.
Rhodes saw off The Beast at SummerSlam 2023 — but now a new claim has raised eyebrows about what’s keeping him away.

Lesnar, who has wrestled a largely part-time schedule for years, had reportedly been due to return at the 2024 Royal Rumble. That plan was quietly shelved, and he’s not appeared on WWE programming since.
He has been out of action for a prolonged period, however, having been linked to a lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant.
A Wall Street Journal report later named Lesnar as one of the unnamed individuals referenced in the filing.
WWE has not commented publicly, McMahon denies wrongdoing, and Lesnar himself has made no statement.
Lesnar’s last run in the company ended with a high-profile feud opposite Rhodes, culminating in a loss at SummerSlam. Despite the defeat, he earned praise for endorsing Rhodes after the match—raising his arm in a rare moment of televised respect.
By July 2024, speculation around a comeback had intensified. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked directly how close Lesnar was to returning.
“You’d have to ask Brock Lesnar that,” he said.
The Game added: “He’s up in Canada, watching his kids play hockey and enjoying life.
“If and when he decides that he would like to do something, we’d be open to the conversation, but we’ll see.”
WWE has made no official mention of a suspension or ban on Lesnar’s involvement, but the silence around the star’s future has led fans to search for answers elsewhere, and Daniel Cormier couldn’t help but have his say.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who once shared real-life promotional heat with Lesnar and was rumoured for a superfight in 2018, addressed the situation during a recent appearance on Demetrious Johnson’s Mightycast.
Asked about Brock’s current status, Cormier dropped a bombshell, saying: “Brock is on the ban list right now. Oh, dude, Brock got into so much trouble.

“You know what Brock did? I ain’t telling you on air what Brock did. Bro is in so much trouble.”
The line instantly set off debate online, with some questioning whether it referred to an official directive from TKO — the parent company of both UFC and WWE — whether it was simply Cormier’s way of summing up the situation, or if he was just having fun at Lesnar’s expense.
The two men never fought, despite sharing real combat credentials. After Cormier won the UFC heavyweight title in 2018, Lesnar famously entered the cage post-fight to shove him, teasing a match that Dana White admitted he was ready to book.
It never happened. Lesnar returned to WWE, and Cormier eventually lost the belt to Stipe Miocic.
They crossed paths again in 2022, when Cormier appeared as special guest referee at WWE’s Extreme Rules and has since remained in the company’s orbit.
Whether his comments were off-the-cuff or based on backstage knowledge is unclear — but for now, Lesnar remains off TV, off the books, and very much out of the spotlight.

The veteran’s daughter has captured her own share of headlines lately, however — the Colorado State athlete won the women’s shot-put title at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships last month.
She also went public on her relationship with NFL rookie Drew Moss.
