Tech company Astronomer has been in the spotlight after its CEO was spotted seemingly cozying up to a coworker on the jumbotron at a recent Coldplay concert.

During Coldplay’s performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, July 16, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron — who is married to another woman — was spotted on the kiss cam with his arms around the company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot. When the camera focused on the pair, Byron jumped out of the frame while Cabot turned away.

“Oh, either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” frontman Chris Martin quipped, per social media footage.

After the incident went viral, Astronomer seemingly took down their announcement of Cabot’s hiring back in 2024.

“At Astronomer, our people are the most valuable asset in helping our customers do more to gain a competitive advantage with their data,” Byron said of Cabot in a since-deleted release. “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory. She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”

Neither Byron, Cabot or Astronomer has publicly addressed the scandal. Us Weekly previously reached out to Astronomer and both executives for comment.
