Tennessee track and field athletes set a pair of program records at the Tyson Invitational, hosted by Arkansas, at Randal Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Freshman distance runner Nelson Mapi Setek lowered his time in the men's one-mile run as he finished the race in 3:55.90. He won the meet championship and surpassed his previous time this season of 3:58.37 at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, Massachusetts.

Setek's new personal-best time ranks second in the SEC and stands as the second fastest time by a NCAA Division I freshman this season.

The Vols' 4x400 meter relay team of Andrew Brown, Andre Jackson II, Saad Hinti and Harry Barton combined to finish the race in 3:02.46, recording the fastest time in program history. The previous record was 3:04.08 set in 2021.

Their performance ranks second nationally this season and elevated the Vols to No. 9 on the all-time collegiate indoor 4x400 list. Tennessee finished in second place at Arkansas behind Florida. The Gators recorded a top mark in the NCAA this season with a time of 3:02.15.

In the men's high jump, Grant Campbell won the university section title as he recorded an effort of 2.19 meters (7-2.25). His mark represents a personal best, ranking seventh on the program's all-time list and No. 12 in the NCAA this season.
