As the league year rapidly approaches, so too does free agency, and there'll be plenty of wide receivers the Pittsburgh Steelers should heavily consider, including the recently released Tyreek Hill.
With the Steelers in desperate need of additional wideouts, coupled with the Miami Dolphins' decision to release the veteran All-Pro, here's a look at Hill's stats, potential fit with Pittsburgh, and a contract prediction.

- 2019: 58 receptions, 860 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns
- 2020: 87 receptions, 1,276 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns
- 2021: 111 receptions, 1,239 receiving yards, 9 touchdowns
- 2022: 119 receptions, 1,710 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns
- 2023: 119 receptions, 1,799 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns

- 2025: 21 receptions, 265 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
Fit with the Steelers offense
With Adam Thielen retired, as well as Calvin Austin III, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Scotty Miller set to hit free agency, the Steelers are down to DK Metcalf, Roman Wilson, and Ben Skowronek as their top wide receivers — a problem Hill would easily solve.
Even coming off a serious leg injury at soon-to-be 32 years old, Hill remains one of the best wide receiver options in free agency. While character concerns remain, the Steelers can't afford to miss out on a low-risk, high-reward veteran receiver like Hill.
Contract prediction
The Steelers could get away with a heavy incentive-based contract, likely in the neighborhood of a one-year prove-it deal for around $11–16 million, given his recent injury. Although Hill is expected to be ready for the 2026 season, the setback will give any team looking to sign him all the leverage.
