Football has been a sport that's always gotten criticism for its name, but Super Bowl 60 might be proving why it's named correctly.
It's been a low-scoring game so far, with kicker Jason Myers as the only player to record points through the halftime break.
After a great first half, Myers is well within reach of a Super Bowl record for kickers.
What is the record for most field goals in a Super Bowl?
The record for most field goals in a Super Bowl is four, set by four different players:
- 2025: Jake Elliott (Eagles)
- 2024: Harrison Butker (Chiefs)
- 1982: Ray Wersching (49ers)
- 1968: Don Chandler (Packers)

A very noticeable trend on this list is that two of the four players are kickers who tied the record in the last two Super Bowls.
Seahawks' Jason Myers has three field goals at halftime, so he'll only need one more to tie the record, and two more if he wants to stand alone with the most in the game's six-decade history.
Based on how the game has been so far, it seems likely that he'll at least get a fourth, as the Seahawks lead 9-0 over the Patriots at the break.
