Girls high school basketball teams statewide learned their postseason fates on Feb. 8.
Here is a look at how Muskingum Valley teams fared:
Division III
Sheridan (17-4), which earned at least a share of their 10th straight Muskingum Valley League title, earned the No. 2 seed among seven teams behind top seed Chillicothe Unioto (17-2) in the Southeast District.
The Generals will host No. 7 Chillicothe (1-20) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 16, with the winner getting either No. 3 Athens (15-3) or No. 6 Washington Court House Miami Trace (9-10) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 19 for a district berth.

The two bracket winners will meet at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Jim Myers Gymnasium in Logan.
Sheridan coach J.D. Walters said it was nice to get a No. 2 seed and is happy for the potential at two home games if it wins its opener.
"We've been better at home all season for whatever reason, so hopefully that helps," Walters said. "I think we have the ability to compete with anyone, but it will all depend on if we can make open shots, layups and free throws. We will defend each possession but we will have to finish the possession with a rebound."
In the East, Zanesville (13-7) was the No. 2 seed and Tri-Valley (14-6) the No. 3 behind top-seeded Steubenville, with No. 4 New Philadelphia (15-5) and No. 5. Dover (5-16) rounding out the field.
