Stefon Diggs is looking to win his first ring when his New England Patriots face the Seattle Seahawks in this year’s Super Bowl, but the wide receiver might soon be giving one out as well.
“It’s on the agenda, maybe, right?” Diggs, 32, said in a press conference on Monday, February 2, when asked if he plans to propose to girlfriend Cardi B. “I got to get mine first, though.”
The Patriots are underdogs against the Seahawks in the upcoming Sunday, February 8, game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating if Diggs will get down on one knee immediately after the game amid a potential postgame celebration. His statement to reporters won’t do much to quiet the chatter.
Cardi, 33, was previously married to rapper Offset from 2017 to 2023 and the two share three kids.
Cardi B Screams Watching Stefon Diggs’ New England Patriots Playoff Win
While Diggs wouldn’t commit to a gameday proposal, Cardi has been by Diggs’ side — and on the field — throughout New England’s playoff run. She even answered questions from NFL Network after the Patriots dispatched of the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game.
“I’m feeling very excited and very happy for him, very proud of him,” she said at the time. “He just came back from an ACL and me seeing the progress and the process.”
Diggs played just eight games in 2024, his only season with the Houston Texans, before tearing his ACL in October. He signed a three-year contract with the Patriots after the season.
Cardi also lauded her boyfriend’s work ethic.
“It’s not like, ‘Oh, you wake up and you’re great,’” she said. “It’s discipline. It’s going to bed early, it’s waking up early, it’s not missing one day of work, nothing.”

Diggs and Cardi were first linked in October 2024, but did not confirm their relationship until the following summer. The couple welcomed their first baby together in October 2025.
“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons,” Cardi wrote via Instagram at the time. “My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
Cardi has also supported Diggs through his recent legal troubles as he faces charges of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery after an alleged December 2025 incident involving his former personal chef.
Who Is Stefon Diggs? 5 Things to Know About the NFL Player
Diggs has denied the allegations against him and his arraignment, originally scheduled for January 23, has been moved to after the Super Bowl.
“Stefon Diggs categorically denies these allegations,” his attorney David Meier said in a statement to Us Weekly in December. “They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated — because they did not occur. The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction. Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law.”
