New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is grateful to have his wife, Ann Michael Maye, by his side throughout his NFL career.

“It’s been awesome to follow her journey. I know [I] was looking forward to her getting up here,” Drake, 23, said during a Thursday, January 29, press conference. “After we got married, she came up here and had never lived up north.”

Drake married Ann Michael, 22, in summer 2025, nearly one year after he was drafted by the Patriots. After their nuptials, Ann Michael and her husband moved to the East Coast while NFL fans affectionately nicknamed her “The Queen of the North.”

“[She] had never seen this much snow on the ground, so obviously it was an adjustment for her,” Drake acknowledged on Thursday. “She’s loved it, she’s loved the people up here, living up here [and] she loves the support. She’s got her own little journey that’s been awesome, being herself and that’s the best thing about her and what I love her for.”

Patriots QB Drake Maye Reveals Competitive Nature With Wife Ann Michael

Amid Drake’s sophomore NFL season, Ann Michael went viral on TikTok for her crafting and baking vlogs.

“The O-line is, like, the main recipients of my baked goods,” Ann Michael told NBC Sports Boston in an interview broadcast earlier this month. “Occasionally, they’ll write me a thank you note. It’s so funny, it’s, like, ‘Just keep feeding us. We need to protect your husband, so we need to keep on the extra weight. If you need a bodyguard, we’ll be your bodyguard.’”

Before Ann Michael hands out baked goods to Drake’s teammates, he always gets the first taste.

“Drake loves sweets, so that’s been pretty good,” she said. “He really liked these peppermint sugar cookies with a vanilla icing that had a touch of peppermint in it.”

Ann Michael even made a basket of cookies for her flight from Boston to Denver, Colorado ahead of the 2026 AFC Championship.

Ann Michael, clad in a custom A/Asunsolo jacket made out of Drake’s jerseys, attended Sunday’s game and celebrated on the field when the Patriots beat the Broncos for a slot in the 2026 Super Bowl.

“WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!❤️💙❤️💙 Words can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of you, #10!!!!” Ann Michael wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 26. “Watching your dreams come true is the biggest blessing and I love you!!!!!”

Drake will lead the Patriots in Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, February 8, in a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

“[I’m] looking forward to getting to go out to practice and try to transfer that to live game reps,” the pro athlete said in his Thursday press conference. “I’ll do whatever I can to help the team win.”
