Followers of world boxing have a huge fight in store this weekend as Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois clash in a unification bout.
Four versions of the world championship are on the line, with Usyk bringing the IBO, WBC, and WBO belts, while Dubois risks his IBF strap. Wembley Stadium in London provides the backdrop, with a sell-out audience boosted by millions more following the action live on DAZN.
Who will be victorious in this winner-takes-all showdown between two huge names in combat sports? The leading online sportsbooks help you celebrate the occasion by laying on a feast of betting markets and promotions, including the fight-winner and total rounds, free bets and price boosts. But where can you find the value?
Former professional boxer and talkSPORT gambling writer, Frankie Monkhouse, previews Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois. He highlights the form of both warriors, shows the most generous betting odds, and makes his final predictions. After tipping Katie Taylor to beat Amanda Serrano on points in New York last weekend, you don’t want to miss this.
Usyk vs Dubois odds
Both men are world champions in their own right, but Usyk is the number-one ranked fighter in the top division and will be eager to prove it on Saturday on the world stage. He boasts the most belts, has already made light work of some respected British fighters, and enters with a stoppage win over Dynamite Dubois in Poland two years ago. With that in mind, it’s no surprise to see the Ukrainian gladiator as the pre-bout betting favourite.
All major sportsbooks agree Usyk is the most likely winner here, with traders confident he’ll leave the UK capital with all four belts safety tucked away in his luggage. It’s easy to see why the odds-makers are so keen to keep the former cruiserweight unified champion close, but tread carefully. Anything can and often does happen in professional boxing, especially at heavyweight, where one punch can turn a fight on its head. Here’s the latest betting.
- Oleksandr Usyk – 3/10 at Betfred
- Draw – 14/1 at Betfred
- Daniel Dubois – 11/4 at Betfred

The odds quoted in the table above come from the fight-winner betting available on the Betfred website and mobile app. They are correct at the time of writing, but please remember that boxing betting odds are subject to change.
The offer you see when placing your bets may differ from what was available when writing the article. I always advise my readers to make their predictions and place bets as early as possible to avoid the late rush and secure the most accurate odds.
Usyk vs Dubois outcome odds
The fight-winner market may be the simplest and most popular way to gamble on boxing, but it’s not your only option. The leading bookmakers offer a wide range of interesting pre-fight and in-play betting markets and specials. Predict the winning round, forecast the fight to last the distance, call either fighter to win inside 60 seconds, and more. There’s a market to suit every gambler and betting budget.
If you’ve been paying close attention to my previous boxing betting previews for TalkSPORT, you’ll know how much I adore the method of victory market. You’re tasked with predicting both the winning fighter and how they’ll achieve the result: on points or by KO/TKO. It’s more challenging than calling the bare result, but the odds are worth winning. Do you expect Usyk to impress the judges and score another points win? Perhaps you’re hot on the chances of big-punching Dubois and expect him to score another knockout. Here are the latest odds.
- Oleksandr Usyk to win on points – 15/8 at Betfred
- Oleksandr Usyk by KO/TKO – 5/4 at Betfred
- Daniel Dubois to win on points – 9/1 at Betfred
- Daniel Dubois by KO/TKO – 4/1 at Betfred
*odds correct at the time of writing
As you can see, according to the Betfred trading team, the most likely outcome is Usyk winning by KO/TKO, with Dubois winning on points being the least likely. Do you agree?
Usyk arrives with a perfect record
Oleksandr Usyk is a 38-year-old southpaw boxer from Ukraine, boasting a perfect professional boxing record of 23 wins from 23 starts. The 2012 Olympic Games gold medalist took to the pro game with ease, quickly shooting up the ranks to dominate cruiserweight and unify the division. Followers of UK boxing will remember his impressive TKO win over Tony Bellew before moving to heavyweight.
Many trusted boxing voices believed Usyk was too small to have any kind of impact at heavyweight. How wrong they were. The 6’3” fighter eased himself in with a stoppage win over Chazz Witherspoon and a points victory against Derek Chisora. He then stepped up a level to beat Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury twice each, on either side of a controversial win over Dubois in Wroclaw.
Having beaten all comers, including fans’ favourites Bellew, Chisora, AJ, Fury and Dubois, it’s no surprise to see him as the hot favourite. But will the unbeaten man deliver again?

Dynamite searching for revenge
Daniel Dubois is the knockout artist from London, planning to plaster his opponent across the canvas on Saturday at the home of English football. Dubois is a 27-year-old with a proud 22-2-0 record, but that only tells half the story. Dynamite has stopped 21 of his previous four opponents inside the distance, beating one on the scorecards and losing inside the distance to Joe Joyce and Saturday’s rival. He’s currently ranked number one in the UK and two on the global charts behind Usyk. That’ll all change with victory in his home city.
Dubois met Usyk in Poland and thought he’d done enough to score an upset win when sending his big-name opponent crashing to the floor in the early exchanges. It was judged to be a low blow by referee Luis Pabon, who gave the Ukrainian plenty of time to recover. Usyk steadied himself, regrouped, and fired back in style. The break in play seemed to hamper Daniel more than Oleksandr, who rallied to score a ninth-round stoppage.
What will Saturday’s rematch bring? There’s still bad blood between these two, and we must remember the underdog destroyed Joshua at this venue last summer. He caused a huge upset when stopping AJ in the fifth round, making a statement.

- Age: 27 years old

Usyk vs Dubois betting tips
Having set the scene for Saturday’s blockbuster at Wembley, I’ll now reveal my predictions and betting tips. You can choose your favourite, divide your stake to follow all three or choose to go against the grain. The choice is yours.
Over 7.5 rounds
My first pick sees us avoid picking sides for now as we bet on the bout to last more than 7.5 rounds. With this approach, it doesn’t matter who wins and how they achieve the result, on points or by a late stoppage. As long as we go beyond the halfway point of the seventh round, you’ll secure a profit.
The same approach would’ve secured you a return in Usyk v Dubois I, and I expect both men to take fewer risks in the rematch. Follow the pick and hope both camps take their time, growing into the contest and avoiding a slugfest.

Usyk to win
Now we’re coming down hard in support of the pre-fight favourite. Yes, the traders have Usyk picked and do their best to discourage bettors, but they’ve left just enough value in the price to tempt us. Usyk to win is best suited to your weekend multiples and fight night accumulators. I’m confident he’ll get the job done in style.
He has already beaten Dubois, comes with an amazing unbeaten record, seems to be improving with the passing of every round, and will be popular with bettors and fight fans on Saturday. Yes, he’s the away fighter, but Oleksandr will enjoy strong support from the stands at the first bell. He’s the more skilled and experienced fighter, and it’ll show.

Usyk win on points
I picked Katie Taylor to beat Amanda Serrano on points seven days ago, and will take Usyk to do something similar on Saturday night. The Ukrainian has power, as shown by his 61% knockout average, but he’s not a man who goes looking for one big punch to settle things. Instead, he relies on his skills, speed, and boxing intelligence to wear down opponents.
Checking the stats, Usyk has won his last two on points, beating Fury on both occasions. Going back further, we note that Oleksandr has won five of his last six outings at heavyweight on the scorecards. He has already felt Daniel’s power, and whether it’s a low blow or not, he won’t want to stay in range and receive a reminder. Back him to keep Dubois at range, box using his slick southpaw jab, and rack up a points win.
