Bournemouth eye loan move for Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri

Bournemouth are interested in signing Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri in the winter transfer window

According to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, the Cherries are looking to secure a loan move for the talented youngster.

But Nwaneri wants to stay at Arsenal until at least the end of the season.

The 18-year-old has been on the fringes of the squad this campaign, making just three starts from 11 appearances across all competitions.

Nwaneri was a key member of Mikel Arteta’s first-team last season. Benefiting from injuries to Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, he featured in 37 games and scored nine goals.

But opportunities have been scarce for him at the Emirates Stadium this term following the arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.

Nwaneri’s situation has alerted Bournemouth, who want to bolster their attack with Antoine Semenyo set to join Manchester City.

The Gunners do not want to sell the teenager as he is one of the best talents to come out of their academy.

But they are ready to send him on loan for regular football action.

Nwaneri is not keen on a temporary move, as he feels he can learn more from Arsenal’s strong title challenge.

The forward would prefer a move to a big club abroad if he is to leave the North Londoners.

Borussia Dortmund were interested to sign him last summer before he committed his future with Arsenal by penning a long-term deal.
