Chelsea Women managed to get the League Cup back in their hands last season after three consecutive years of failure in the very last stage of the competition. Today they begin their title defence against Liverpool, a very annoying side despite their lack of form as shown by their 1-1 draw only a month ago against us.
We’ve been on good pace since recording our first ever domestic loss under Sonia Bompastor, against Liverpool’s main rivals Everton. No need to give another Merseyside a taste of our own blood.
