The4-10 New Orleans Saints host the 3-11 New York Jets this Sunday as 5.5-point favorites. Saints quarterback Tyler Shough hasn’t been perfect, but he has played well enough to win some games and prove that he deserves a shot at starting next season. One of his favorite targets has been tight end Juwan Johnson.
Below, we’ll go over Juwan Johnson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 16.
Fantasy Football analysis: Saints, TE, Juwan Johnson
One bit of housekeeping is that DeVaughn Vele is out this week, which is already a boost to Johnson. It is concerning that Johnson’s targets fell to four in each of the last two games, but he did catch all four targets, but not for many yards. He has a good floor for a tight end, as he has four or more receptions in seven of his last eight games.
They’ll also be in the home dome against a bad Jets defense. We need a touchdown for him to truly be a good start, but that’s the way with almost all tight ends not named Trey McBride. As it is, you aren’t going to find too many tight ends with his floor this week.
