MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The 68 Ventures Bowl is almost here, and fans were treated to a special tradition ahead of the festivities.

A Mardi Gras parade was the pre-party before the big game, inviting fans from both the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the Delaware Blue Hens to enjoy floats from 20 different societies.

Though the parade was for visitors to the city, local residents came to get in a pre-Mardi Gras season fix.

“The Mardi Gras floats are so full of color, and getting to meet new people. And the bands and the live music, it’s just a party on wheels,” Michael Woods said.

This bowl is the first game between the two schools in any sport.
