Jack Humphries was full of praise for Paddy Pimblett after his victory at Cage Warriors 192 this past weekend.

Humphries, 22, submitted MMA veteran Rory Evans in London on Saturday night to go 4-0 in the sport professionally, while keeping his perfect 100 per cent finish rate.

He has now banked three first-round finishes since making his pro debut in May 2024, with his one other victory coming in the second round.

‘The Ripper’ spoke to talkSPORT.com after submitting Evans at CW 192 on Saturday night and was full of praise for UFC star Pimblett, who helped the bantamweight prepare for his latest fight.

“Having Paddy around for this camp, people don’t respect Paddy enough,” the 22-year-old, who trained out of Team Fearless MMA, explained.

“He’s an MMA genius – people don’t understand. I’d say he’s got the best jiu-jitsu for MMA in MMA completely.

“He’s a genius, and I’ve learnt a lot of stuff from him. “

Pimblett had a career-best win over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in April and has since been linked to his first title shot against bitter rival Ilia Topuria.

Humphries detailed conversations he had with the Liverpudlian ahead of his latest win, and was confident he would follow a similar path in the future.

‘He told me Rory was going to be tough, but I knew I was tougher – I’m built different,” Humphries added.

“There’s no breaking me, and I’ll die in there if I have to.”

‘The Ripper’ then asserted he will ‘100 per cent’ feature in Dana White‘s Contender Series (DWCS) next year.

DWCS is a competition that enables fighters to earn a UFC contract by fighting the very best in their division in a series of competitive bouts.

“My next fight will be a level up, I know I’m UFC level,” Humphries said.

“I could beat anyone in that bantamweight division, I’m probably not going to get those [big] fights because I’m only 4-0, but I know I could dominate them.”

Humphries concluded by revealing plans to spend time with his family after winning at CW 192, but still had an important message for his fans.

“Watch my fights,” he finished before naming an opponent for his UFC debut, which Humphries expects to come soon.

“I’ve got four finishes, three in the first round, one in the second round, and they’ve all come in a very, very viral fashion.

“UFC. I’m 4-0. Four finishes. The first fight I want when I’m in the UFC is Raul Rosas Jr.

“We’re the same age, I’ll fight him, Dana White phone me and I’ll smash his face clean – I’ll batter him.”

Rosas Jr. is 11-1 in MMA, having made his UFC debut in December 2022 after emerging through DWCS.

Humphries, meanwhile, expects to be back in the cage under the Cage Warriors banner for their Newcastle event in September.

‘The Ripper’ truly believes he has it in him to make it to MMA’s summit as the greatest on the planet at 135 lbs.

Merab Dvalishvili is the current UFC bantamweight champion, having last defended his belt against Sean O’Malley at UFC 316 last month.
