The St. Louis Cardinals had a slim chance of landing the number one slot in the MLB Draft Lottery. That didn’t happen as President of Baseball Operations Chaim Bloom and his team will be making a selection much later than they would have preferred.
The Chicago White Sox will pick 1st followed by the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants and the Pittsburgh Pirates to round out the top 5.
The St. Louis Cardinals only had a 2.35% chance of landing the #1 pick prior to the lottery according to MLB.com. Now that we know when the St. Louis Cardinals will be picking in the 2026 MLB Draft, let the speculation begin on which players will still be available once their turn comes.
