The New York Jets head into Week 15 fresh off a 34-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
The Jets have been at the bottom of NFL national power rankings polls most weeks throughout the year.
Is this week going to be different?
Here’s how the Jets fare in national media power rankings polls heading into Week 15:
USA Today
27. New York Jets (26): Of their 26 touchdowns this season, four − a full 15% − have come on special teams. Not. Sustainable. But trust the process.

Sunday: Lost to Dolphins 34-10
Worst-case scenario: Picking the wrong quarterback (again)
The Jets will have another top-10 pick this year, but maybe they should stick with Brady Cook. Sure, the rookie UDFA only had a 35.8 passer rating after replacing the injured Tyrod Taylor, but the Jets’ track record for picking new quarterbacks isn’t great. Their last four, including free agency and draft picks, were Justin Fields, Aaron Rodgers, Zach Wilson and Sam Darnold. They probably should have just stuck with Darnold.

Week 14 Result: Lost 34-10 vs. Miami
The New York Jets may have to turn back to quarterback Justin Fields once he recovers from knee soreness. Tyrod Taylor exited in the first quarter of the previous outing with a groin injury.
Gang Green benched Fields for Taylor going into Week 12, and the move sparked the passing attack with the emergence of John Metchie III and Adonai Mitchell.
If Fields starts going forward, the Jets should feature his athleticism with the ground game, but he would be a downgrade for the aerial attack, which established some rhythm while Taylor took snaps under center.
Regardless, the Jets are one of the league's worst teams. Kick and punt returners Isaiah Williams and Kene Nwangwu provide some juice on special teams, though.

This season has been rough, but they're loaded with draft assets. They should do everything they can to land Fernando Mendoza.

They looked like they quit. Their alternate uniforms redefined the word ugly. And undrafted rookie Brady Cook is their only healthy QB. Are we sure Woody Johnson isn’t going to fire anyone after the season?

28. New York Jets (-1)
Brady Cook was thrown into a tough spot in his NFL debut after Tyrod Taylor left with a groin injury, asked to pull the Jets out of a 21-0 hole without many weapons or good protection. The Jets' special teams did their part, but the other two units came up way short in the loss to Miami. Cook certainly missed a few throws against the Dolphins, including a pair of red-zone picks, but his receivers didn't do him many favors, either. Taylor isn't the Jets' future. Justin Fields probably isn't, either. And Cook has a long way to go just to prove he deserves a roster spot next summer. So, the Jets almost certainly will focus their energies on solving the long-running QB concern this team has been dealing with for, well, decades. The Jets are currently slotted to pick fifth in the 2026 NFL Draft, and there's no guarantee they can get the right one there, although it helps that a few teams above them might already have their quarterbacks rostered. Not to mention, New York has a second first-rounder to play with, thanks to the Sauce Gardner trade.

JETS INTERCEPTION WATCH has reached threat-level red. Already in the history books as the team that has gone the longest without an interception, the club coached by a defensive back with 41 career interceptions is aiming to make it an entire season. What fun!

Most shocking statistical ranking: Zero interceptions on defense
That's right, zero. Entering Monday night, there were 293 interceptions in the NFL this season -- and not one by a player on the Jets' defense. The next-closest team has five. The 13-game drought is the second longest since 1960, one shy of the mark for futility that was held by the 2024 49ers. Coach Aaron Glenn, who made 41 interceptions as a player, called it "puzzling." It's not like they've had a ton of chances; the Jets have been charged with only three dropped interceptions.
